I was born in Bogotá, Colombia and completed my bachelor education in Advertising Art at the Javeriana University in 1971. After graduation I worked as a graphic designer at the Casa Hillel, a private foundation. I also took ongoing classes in Batik and Ceramics.
I pursued making Batiks and had several art exhibits showing that media. Also I owned an art gallery for 3 years until I moved to San Diego in 1983 with my husband and my 3 children.
Since I’ve been in San Diego, I took classes in Calligraphy, Caricatures and Drawing Faces. I’ve designed logos and also invitations and center pieces for weddings, birthday parties and other events and I’ve had exhibitions of my artwork at several venues including The Gotthelf Art gallery, The Imperial Savings Bank, Options-The Women’s Event and Las Palomas Club. I have been selling my art privately as well.
