My background in art is of a practical nature, derived from forty years employed as a cabinetmaker and furniture maker. During this time I learned how to turn wood on the lathe, and I specialized in architectural and furniture veneer work. This specialization required the creation of geometric designs applied to woodwork. Creating veneer mosaics was always the most enjoyable part of this work, and so I continue with this as an independent decorative artist.
