Wilderness traveler, diver, and photographer, Marcy is inspired and excited by nature and its many intricacies. The creative challenge is to transform these inspirations into glass art pieces.
Marcy took design and art as a major at Mesa College. Her first interest in glass was in the early 70’s when she was introduced to stain glass. Marcy dabbled with stain glass for several years until she met and took a refresher course with Cathy Coverley. During that course, Cathy introduced Marcy to fused glass. Marcy was hooked and fused glass has been her medium since. An explorer by nature, Marcy is always looking into new glass techniques. She has taken workshops with Artists Kathleen Sheard, Debra Van Tol, Bob Leatherbarrrow, Susan Hirsch, Lisa Vogt, Berry Kaiser, Patty Gray and others.
Marcy is eager to share her passion with others by teaching fused glass classes to individuals or small groups. Additionally she works with private individuals or organizations to produce commissioned pieces.
