As a child, Susan would accompany her father to the art room at GM Photographic in Detroit, Michigan. It was there, in the art room with her father, where Susan was first introduced to the many colors, layouts, and tools of the trade. As an adult, Susan left Detroit and retired to San Diego, California.
Susan was employed at General Dynamics but never did lose her childhood enthusiasm for art. She grew especially fascinated with the art of imagery. Over time, Susan became interested in Digital Art ~ A general term for a range of artistic works that make use of digital technology as an essential part of the creative process. Taking full advantage of these digital tools, Susan combines multiple elements from her original photographs to create a vision of harmonious places. Susan’s work can best be described as ‘Faux- Tography’ ~ The art of supplementing original photographs with artistic expression.
It is Susan’s hope that you enjoy her work as much as she enjoys creating it!
